Renée is a registered accredited counsellor and teacher, with more than 15 years’ experience working with children, women and families through state, private and independent educational institutions in Queensland and Victoria. During this time, she has worked in a range of clinical settings such as schools, mental health, early intervention services, with a specialisation in child and parental support.
Renée is deeply passionate about providing a safe space for people to tell their stories, to be heard and to help them feel acknowledged. She works from a strengths’ based counselling framework with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, families and groups. She has also had experience in providing support to victims of domestic and family violence and children confronted with cyberbullying and image based abuse.
As an educator, Renée held senior teaching and educational management roles where she collaborated with school leaders and stakeholders to design and implement a range of systemic practises and processes aimed to ensure success across all sectors. This comprehensive knowledge of how to holistically achieve a best practise approach was transferred to others through her role as a mentor and as a support to teachers, students and families.
Renée's teaching history has seen her work within a range of primary school settings where she has had the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and students in exploring their personal strengths, resources and abilities.Creating a modified curriculum that is tailored to individual needs whilst ensuring that appropriate learning outcomes are met is one of my strengths and it is something she takes great pride in.

Renée is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) and Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). She holds Bachelor degrees in Education and Psychology and a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
