"The capacity to learn is a gift;
the ability to learn is a skill;
the willingness to learn is a choice" - Brian Herbert
Successful business owners, leaders and managers all agree that to generate exceptional product and smash delivery deadlines requires individuals and teams to be aware of the fundamental processes of wellbeing.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) define Wellbeing as "a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease." And Mental Health as "a state of wellbeing in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a better contribution to his or her community."
We have come a long way in our discussions of wellbeing in the workplace. Even as recent as 10 years ago - mental health was an undisclosed, undiscussed problem that was expected to be managed in 'personal time' and have no bearing on the work that needed to be done.
It has been argued that there is still some 'work' to be done in how businesses and organisations acknowledge and validate peoples' journey with mental health and wellbeing to better understand how best to support them.
It is our experience that whole group presentations and small group workshops allow for knowledge to be gained, insights normalised and stereotypes and myths to be dispelled. Each session seeks to empower the individual in becoming more self-aware and armed with the necessary tools to support those around them. Which then translates into a workplace culture that is wellbeing aware and informed.
Each presentation runs for approximately 60mins with question time at the end and includes participant handouts. These are facilitated either at your office in person or can be delivered as an interactive webinar using the platform of your choice. They can be for 6 to 600 people. If you would like us to present one of the topics listed or prefer a more specific targeted approach please don't hesitate to call.
Workshops are more interactive and therefore require a smaller audience. These in-person programs are tailored to the specific needs of your organisation or team and are limited to 20 participants.
